Since 1982, John Beverley has worked exclusively helping people with debt challenges. After qualifying as a Management Accountant in Scotland in 1979, he moved to Canada in 1981. He is a Fellow member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) in Europe, the highest honor bestowed upon members of the organization. In 1983 he became a member of the association of Certified Management Accountants of Canada (CMA), who now use the CPA designation.
Prior to the incorporation of John S. Beverley & Associates Inc., John spent 13 years with the International accounting firm, Deloitte & Touche. Most recently he was their Vice-President in Prince George, responsible for the management of the insolvency department, serving all of Northern B.C.
After obtaining his License as a Trustee in Bankruptcy in 1988 when he was just 29 years old, he became one of the youngest Trustees in Canada at that time. Since then he has amassed a wide range of experience in all aspects of insolvency, having dealt with a variety of assignments in his many years of experience.
John takes pride in his work. Since 1994 he has been the President of John S. Beverley & Associates Inc. and has helped over 8,500 people and companies to resolve their financial problems. He enjoys being able to help people put their problems behind them and get their financial matters back on a positive track. He knows that bankruptcy is not always your best option. He will look for alternatives and will happily advise you of all your options.
Aside from helping thousands of individuals get back on their feet, John has been involved in various corporate engagements within the following industries:
Maintaining an active role in his community and in the province, John is involved in various roles with the Chamber of Commerce, Kinsmen Club and the Junior Chamber/Jaycees, in which he is a Senator. He also participates in fundraising for the B.C. Children’s Hospital.
Melody started her career in the insolvency field in 1990 and has steadily progressed through various aspects of the industry. Prior to her 18 year employment as Senior Estate Manager with John S. Beverley & Associates Inc., she spent 5 years as an Insolvency Assistant with the international accounting firm, Deloitte & Touche.
Insolvency and restructuring has been a challenging and rewarding career for Melody and she dedicates a great deal of time to continuing her education in the field. After successfully completing CAIRP's Chartered Insolvency & Restructuring Professional qualification process and acquiring the CIRP designation, she successfully challenged the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy Oral Board of Examination and has been granted a Trustee's License in both British Columbia and the Yukon Territory.
Being born and raised in north central British Columbia, she is familiar with the northern way of life and all of its uniqueness. From Riverboat Days in Terrace to Over the Line Snowball in Prince George, from the Williams Lake Stampede to fly fishing north of Mackenzie - north central British Columbia's great outdoors is very much a part of Melody's life.
Melody wholeheartedly believes that assisting individuals and small businesses with debt solutions and ensuring clients have all the information to make informed decisions is an integral part of how "We Can Help".
Marie has worked with John S. Beverley & Associates Inc. since 2013 and has quickly become a valuable and knowledgeable Estate Manager. Her over 20 years in the Customer Service field strengthens her ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
She was born and raised in northern BC and believes it to be the best place on Earth to live.
Marie holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics from UNBC and is an accomplished Toastmaster.
Zelia has worked in the insolvency field for more than 20 years. She has a wide range of experience with personal bankruptcy, consumer proposals, credit counselling and budgeting.
Zelia is a Qualified Insolvency Counsellor who has an ability to relate to the circumstances of others and is able to provide individual support and tools for money management, budgeting and rebuilding credit.
She enjoys helping people work through the process to find the right solution for a fresh start and build a stronger financial future.
Outside of work, Zelia enjoys spending time with her family, travelling, and the outdoors.
Connor is a graduate of the UNBC Bachelor of Commerce program, obtaining a degree in both Finance and Marketing.
Prior to joining us he worked as a Customer Service Representative at Scotiabank for over 3 years.
Born and raised in Prince George, and graduating from Kelly Road Secondary School, Connor knows the city well, and outside of work he enjoys being at the lake and spending time with friends and family.
Michelle has worked in the Insolvency field for over 20 years, and she has been with John S. Beverley & Associates Inc. since the firm's inception.
Michelle is responsible for the coordination of court hearings and the required documentation, the maintenance of the banking records, and distribution of funds. She also is a Commissioner for taking Affidavits.
When you first enter our office, you will be greeted by the warm smile of Shari Kidd. Shari has dedicated herself to providing exceptional customer service throughout her career. “You can rest assured that you are in good hands with John Beverley and his staff,” she says. She will guide you through your introduction to the insolvency process, and be there to direct your inquiries as you proceed.
Carole Guenette joined us in 2014, as an administrative assistant. With careful attention to detail, Carole handles preparation and processing of documents, to ensure our system runs smoothly. Her care for clients is an important part of all that we accomplish on your behalf.
Kim has been with the Firm since its inception in 1994.
Prior to joining us she was the Executive Assistant to the Vice-President of the Bank of Montreal for Northern B.C.
Among other duties, Kim is responsible for all of our estate banking.
